There are several ways to install your panels, choose the easiest and most suitable for you.

Consult our assembly instructions summarizing the different types of installation: directly on the wall with plasterboard screws, directly on the wall with all-material glue, and installation on counter-batten.

Make sure you have everything you need to install your panels:

  • We made a scratch on one of our panels during installation, how can I erase it?
Using our maintenance kit (available in the store) containing a sanding block and a bottle of oil, it is possible to erase a scratch and re-oil the scratched part to readjust the color . The oil we use being a single-coat oil, no connection will be visible with the rest of the panel.
  • We have a ceiling height (HSP) of more than 2m40, what should we do?
Your HSP is slightly taller than 2m40: It is possible to provide you with tailor-made plinths of suitable dimensions. Example: you have an HSP of 2m50 - we can provide you with a 10cm plinth in the same species as your panels (oak or walnut). Your HSP is much taller than 2m40: Our panels are easily stacked to cover the entire surface of your wall. With the “custom cut” option, we can provide you with panels cut to the right height. Example: you have an HSP of 3m10, you need 2m40 panels + 70cm panels - we can provide you with the panels cut to 70cm to make installation easier. You have a substantial project with a HSP of between 2m40 and 3m: For a project of more than 15 panels, it is possible to manufacture panels up to 3m high. To do this, contact us at contact@maisonsengler.fr to send you a precise estimate.
  • How can we track the delivery of our order?
For orders of 1 or 2 panels: Shipping is carried out via DHL, an email with a tracking number will be sent to you automatically when your order is picked up by the carrier. Enter your shipping reference at https://mydhl.express.dhl/fr/fr/tracking.html#/track-by-reference to find out about the status of your order. For orders of 3 or more panels: Shipping is carried out via our courier carrier on a tailor-made pallet. The carrier is responsible for making a delivery appointment directly with you, 3/4 days after notification of shipment from our workshop. If, however, the carrier has not set a delivery appointment for you, it is possible to have precise follow-up by sending us an email to contact@maisonsengler.fr
  • How do we determine the number of panels needed for our project?
    - Our panels are 60cm wide by 2m40 high, i.e. a covered area of 1.44m2 - If your ceiling height (HSP) is 2m40 or less, simply divide the length of your wall by 0.6. Example: You have a wall 4m10 long with an HSP of 2m40 4.10 / 0.6 = 6.83 or 7 panels will be needed to cover your entire wall. For all other cases, you must calculate the surface area of your wall and divide it by the surface area covered by a panel. Example: You have a wall 3m50 long with an HSP of 3m10 3.5 x 3.1 = 10.85m2 = the surface area of your wall 10.85 / 1.44 = 7.53 or 8 panels needed to cover your entire wall.
  • What cuts can we request with the “custom cut” option?
With the “custom cut” option to add to your basket, we offer to reduce the size of your panels in the length or width direction. Other cuts such as to insert a switch must be made on site during installation. Example: You have a ceiling height of 2m27 and you need 5 panels to cover your wall. - Thanks to the "custom cut" option to add only once to your basket, we can cut and deliver the panels to 2m27 long to make installation easier.
  • Can the panels be installed outdoors?
It is not recommended to install the panels outdoors. Due to their design and the materials used, they cannot withstand humid environments and are therefore only recommended for installation in a dry environment.
  • Can the panels be installed directly on plasterboard rails?
Yes, it is possible to directly attach the panels to rails or other structures. It is simply advisable to increase the number of rails to allow for screws every 30cm. Thanks to this, you can save plasterboard and install your panels directly on your structure. Example: - To mount a dividing wall - Installation of panels on the ceiling
  • How to make cutouts around a socket or switch?
To integrate a socket or switch into your panel there are two solutions: Surface installation: It consists of placing your switch/socket on the panel battens. To do this, make a hole with a hole saw in the panel to integrate the box, and attach your switch/socket directly to the wood. Recessed installation: It consists of leaving your switch/socket fixed to your wall and making a cut so that the panel matches the shape of your switch/socket. To do this, record the dimensions and positioning of your switch/socket on the panel, and cut out the imprint using a jigsaw for wood, and a cutter for felt.
